Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to properly press flowers?
Most botanicals press well within 7–14 days depending on thickness, humidity, and ventilation. We recommend checking at day 5 and replacing blotting papers if moisture persists.
Which flowers hold their color best?
Pansies, violas, cosmos, larkspur, and ferns retain excellent color. Succulent petals and dense blooms like ranunculus can brown unless split and pre-dried.
Is foraging allowed for class material?
Use only garden-grown or legally foraged plants. Never collect from protected areas. We teach local guidelines and low-impact harvesting. Always leave plenty for pollinators.
What is included in the workshop kits?
Kits include a small cedar press, linen straps, acid-free paper sets, and a non-toxic adhesive. Online classes also provide printable composition templates.
Can I reschedule my workshop?
Yes. You can reschedule once up to 48 hours before the session. Contact us via the form with your preferred new dates.
Do I need prior art experience?
No. Our beginner courses assume no prior art training. We build skills step by step and emphasize repeatable methods.
How do I care for pressed pieces?
Display away from direct sunlight and humidity. Use UV-filtering glass when framing and 100% cotton backing. Avoid aerosols near the piece.
What is your refund policy on tools and kits?
Unused tools and sealed kits can be returned within 30 days. Workshop seats are refundable up to 7 days before the event.
Are adhesives archival and non-toxic?
Yes. We supply pH-neutral, solvent-free adhesives tested for long-term stability. Always follow ventilation guidance on the label.
